Computer & Internet Security
Crypto-Gram Newsletter is a monthly (published on the 15th) e-mail newsletter on computer security and cryptography from Bruce Schneier. Schneier doesn't mince words and he's usually right on target.
Wiretapped is an archive of software and information covering the areas of host, network and information security, network operations, cryptography and privacy, among others.
The Risks Digest bills itself as "Forum On Risks To The Public In Computers And Related Systems." Mostly it's about failures in mass transit and Internet voting. But don't let that throw you off. If you can get around the people flogging the deceased equine you might find something interesting...
Phrack is a hacker magazine "by the community, for the community." It's an irregularly published mix of interesting hacks, intrusion methods, and who knows what else.
Open Source Software
Check out Vendor Watch for information on which hardware vendors and manufacturers are friendly, open and cooperative and which ... aren't. If you're using open source this can save you time and headaches!
OpenBSD is the way to go if you value security. What's that? Ten (10!) years with only two remote compromises in the default install? Unheard of, but true.
